In this section we seek to present one-of-a-kind, unusual and creative pieces of moving-parts sculpture in the form of dolls, puppets, and doll sculpture. We are seeking artists working in this genre and invite them to contact us. .......below: WAR ON CHILDREN The piece presents a broken doll-child with torn pictures of her home, classmates and childhood, among news clippings of the lost generation of Europe, Rwanda, and other locations on our planet in which thousands of small innocents have been bombed, tortured, kidnapped, murdered... About 18.5" high and 9.5" wide, broken pieces of china dolls, torn photos, dried roses and toys are nailed, strapped and bolted into a box of weathered chestnut. Other pieces project the emotions of the artist as a pressured, modern-day woman: housemaid, worker -- creative, spiritual, sexual, raging, nostalgic, protesting, seeking, grieving, remembering, ageing. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, although some are created as part of a series, such as the "Time" and the "Mechanica" series, in which several differ from each other in detail while referring to a common theme. |

They are "found object" sculpture-- made of fragments from the dump: discarded doll-parts, electronics, cloth, nails, appliances, hardware, string.... and incorporating animal-parts, bird-feathers, etc. As in the jewelry, they are assembled mechanically, examples of "cold connection", with some parts moving freely. Most are mounted in boxes, cans or frames; some are on strings
