Explore Life Through Art With Russell Aharonian The owners of ARTSHIP have known this surrealistic painter for some forty years. Aharonian is the rarest type of artist, a naturally inspired person who is capable of transmitting his joy in living, thinking, and feeling in his art -- which is wholly intuitive in its execution, and spontaneous in its delivery. He is free to experience without restraint, and infuses the resulting art with poetry-- he calls his genre "Surlyrical" and "Biomorphic", which are descriptively accurate, and correctly suggest that this art is not part of the mainstream. It embodies, without shame or apology, both male and female sensibilities. He seeks to embrace all expressions of the positive life-force, no matter how raw or incongruous, and to express it in all its colors. What results is a mix of fragility, passion, and continuing exploration. Aharonian lives, works, and exhibits in Northern New England.
